Oregon may not be the first state that comes to mind when you think about coin shows, but the Beaver State has a surprisingly active numismatic scene. From Portland down to Grants Pass, there's a coin show happening nearly every month — and we've got them all listed right here on Find Coin Shows.
I've been tracking Oregon's coin show circuit, and what strikes me is the consistency. The Oregon Coin, Currency, Token & Medal Show alone runs four times a year at the Holiday Inn South in Wilsonville, making it one of the most reliable shows in the Pacific Northwest. If you're anywhere near the I-5 corridor, you've got no excuse not to check one out.

This is the bread and butter of Oregon's coin show calendar. Running quarterly in Wilsonville (just south of Portland), it draws dealers from across the Pacific Northwest. The $3 admission is one of the best deals you'll find, and the early bird option at $30 is worth it if you're serious about snagging deals before the crowd arrives. Bring cash. Most dealers prefer cash transactions, and you'll often get better deals when you're paying with bills rather than cards.
Arrive early if you can. Several Oregon shows offer early bird admission for a premium. If you're looking for specific coins or the best selection, it's worth the extra cost.
Check the weather. Oregon weather is unpredictable, especially in the fall and winter months. Many venues have ample parking, but plan accordingly.
Talk to dealers. Oregon's coin community is welcoming and knowledgeable. Don't be afraid to ask questions, especially if you're new to collecting.
