Oregon's coin show scene is anchored by Portland, which hosts some of the largest shows in the Pacific Northwest. The Oregon Numismatic Society (ONS) is the state's major organization, and the Willamette Valley hosts a regular circuit of well-attended shows. Oregon's position as a hub for the western coin show circuit means dealers regularly bring extensive inventories of early American, pioneer gold, and world coins. The state has a particularly active community for ancient coins and world coinage, reflecting its diverse and internationally-connected collector base.
